maxine was born to helen elisa and captain george woodley of the New York City Police Department. her mother was a music teacher at rice high school in manhattan, new york. her father, captain george woodley, was a captain for the New York City Police Department until his relocation. although most of maxine's teen years was affected by her mother's illness, her parents were very much in love with the other up until helen's death. the last two years of helen's life, george realized that she had given up and wanted to enjoy the remaining of her life. this meant to be taken off of chemo which angered george. helen told him to get out and he did to his hometown, boston, massachussets. maxine was eighteen at the time and by her mother's side those last two remaining years and a hatred for her father fueled for not sticking up to her mother's decision. she often would write songs that she would play in her ukulele to sing to her mother whenever she thought she needed a bit of "sunshine" in her life.
her sophomore year of high school, maxine met a girl named jane whom she ended up being infatuated with. although, the feelings were not reciprocated, this was the first time max ever experienced any sort of attraction for the opposite sex. she always believed that she only liked boys because her mother had labeled her as "boy crazy" and she was not a "tomboy". she never came out to her mother, in fear of rejection, although she had spoken to her many times that she would've loved her no matter who she decided to spend her life with. nevertheless, she hasn't properly explored that side of herself yet. it wasn't until her first semester of college in nyu, where she realized that sexuality didn't match up to how someone should dressed themselves or act, or that one is able to be attracted to both genders without being one thing or the other.
growing up, max was brought up on country music by her mother and classic rock n roll by her father. their endless eclectic summer roadtrip mixes played when driving to staten island inspired her to pursue music school. in middle school, she enrolled in chorus where she went on to sing as a soprano but because the lack of altos in her class and her capability to project her voice loudly, her teacher felt that max needed to change lines to alto. this devestated max and although, she went on with her teacher's plan, she decided that maybe singing was not her strongest point. by high school, she decided to take band and was not successful at it. although she has taught herself piano, she can really only play "get lucky" by daft punk and "clocks" by coldplay which are her go to songs if anyone has a piano at their house.
before her mother was diagnosed with lukemia, she respected her father deeply. she saw herself following his footsteps, although very discouraged by her dad because he didn't want her to be in life threaning situations. but george was maxine's super hero, and maxine was george's little girl. in the last few years, she's been coping her mother's loss which has caused a rift between the two as well as a bond of loss. she hasn't forgiven her father for how he handled her mother's last few years alive. now that she's settled in boston, there's concerns in her head whether or not she's the only proper high functioning adult in the woodley household. before moving back with her dad at the age of 20, she was unaware that george was in a critical medical condition and was called by one of her father's friends to come and take care of him. she decided to claim in her head that she went to boston "on an impulse." and other times she blames it on "schools in new york being too expensive".
max has been living in boston for less than four years and still strugglign to get out of her shell. it's caused her to believe that she doens't belong there and has thought about running away back to new york but she knows there's no one really there who would help support her financially before she'd get a proper start. her self-deprecating tendencies haven't been able to find her proper footing in bu and/or at life. she's constantly wondering if whatever career path she is on at that moment is going to make her happy or if it's what she really wants out of life. her doubts have set her back way before moving in to boston and have cost her mental wellbeing. she barely discusses it to no discussion at all but she suffers from anxiety and major depression and is prescriped pills. her anxiety has caused her to become an insomniac and has been hooked up ambien and melatonin, with horrible sleepwalking results. she has not been aware of it yet as her dad is usually working and/or not home.
beccause of her mental state, she heavily relies on the internet . she rather spend her time bingewatching a series on netflix/amazon/hulu or playing hours of minecraft alone than socializing or out at a college party. she's found herself cleaning the whole house when she's forgotten to play the internet, or finally reading all those books she bought. it takes enough pushes for her to finally come out of the house.

Gwen Stacy was born in Forest Hills to George and Helen Stacy. Following her mother's death, she was raised by George alone. Gwen's free spirit and artistic inclinations often put her at odds with the type of ethics her father worked to instill. As a result of this contrast with her father, Gwen would often retreat into quiet seclusion and play the drums.
After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Gwen was granted arachnid-like super-powers, and started a career as a crimefighter, dubbed by the media as "Spider-Woman." She was given a costume and a set of Web-Shooters by retired crimefighter Janet van Dyne. Gwen spent most of her early adventures focused on exploiting and maintaining her newfound attention more than helping those in need; however, Gwen's behavior changed after her father expressed he believed Spider-Woman could easily help people.
Spider-Woman's influence also caused one of the biggest tragedies in Gwen's life. The bullied Peter Parker, desperate for becoming special like his idol Spider-Woman, conducted an experiment that turned him into a Lizard-like creature. Parker crashed the Midtown Senior Prom, and Gwen was forced to fight him. In the aftermath of the battle, Peter returned to his human form, but died due to his injuries. With no evidence or link to his transformation, Spider-Woman was blamed for Peter's death and branded a criminal.
In an effort to clear her name and haunted by Peter's death, Gwen doubled her efforts to fight crime. Additionally, Gwen's father George was tasked with conducting the NYPD investigation to capture Spider-Woman. This drew the attention of Matt Murdock, the right hand to New York's Kingpin of crime, who sent hitman Aleksei Sytsevich to kill George in an attempt to make an ally of Spider-Woman. After thwarting the murder attempt, Gwen found herself held at gunpoint by her father, and she was forced to reveal her double identity. She pleaded her innocence, and swore to never rest until criminals like the Kingpin were stopped. Captain Stacy chose his daughter over his duty and let Spider-Woman free.
After joining Spider UK's Spider-Army and meeting another version of Peter Parker who became the Goblin after being consumed by his grief over Gwen Stacy's death, swearing vengeance against Verna and her Hounds when he was killed, Gwen later returned to her reality, where she still tried to turn the public opinion against her by becoming a vigilante. With the appearance of a new villain named the Vulture, Gwen set out to catch him and deliver him to the police, in order to gain their trust. (...)
